Topic: Calling all PKU's in Melbourne
Posted: Tuesday, February 23, 2010 2:14:54 PM
Hi Ladies,
I don't know if you have organised a day to catch up with each other but thought that I would let you know that a lunch is being held on Sunday March 21st at Daisy's Club Hotel in Ringwood at 12.30pm. The venue has a playground for those of you with children, there is an Easter activity for the children and of course a low protein menu is available.
The venue is easy to get to as it is just off East Link in Ringwood
This is a regular dinner date activity that the MDDA has about four or five times a year in Melbourne.
If you are interested in attending please email mddaadmin@iprimus.com.au
Look forward to meeting you.

Hi Jaycee,
My name is Kerri Carboon and I am the Executive Director and founder of the MDDA, a national self help group for people with inborn errors of metabolism, of which PKU is one diagnosis. Please refer to the link on the home page of the pkutree.

The MDDA supports, educates and advocates for children and adults and has been advocating for you for at least fourteen years.

If you are a PKU adult on diet you have been receiving the benefits of the work of the MDDA in the form of the Federal Government's IEpM Food Grant for seven years.

The MDDA has a volunteer network and active PKU adults in all states of Australia they have the opportunity to meet regularly at conferences, state and local functions.

If you or any PKU adult would like to be in touch about the work we have done or are currently doing in regard to supporting you as adults at local, state and federal levels please do not hesitate to contact us on mddaaustralia@iprimus.com.au or telephone on us on our Freecall number 1800 288 460.

Kind regards
Kerri Carboon
