Hi everyone ,

while shopping in our local IGA yeateray i came across these in the frezzer section there is 6 bases per packet now the lable tells me there is 0g of Protien how exciting!!!!
BUT..then i read the ingredents and they have maize starch, milk solids and rice flour which to me would mean there would be some protien in them ????
I have placed a call to there care line will update when i hear back fingers crossed they will be PKU friendly

Topic: One piece of advice...
Posted: Thursday, August 06, 2009 8:08:24 PM
Gee i hope this doesnt come out wrong...

My first bit of advice would be its ok.

its ok to cry,to feel a sence of loss,to feel isolated,oh yeah cry some more,to feel like its your fault and many other feelings BUT as you learn, adjust and watch your baby grow healthy and happy PKU just becomes a very normal part of life and its ok.
I know this wont be for everyone but if just one person had told me all my sad feeling were so normal when Joe was found to have PKU it would have helped me alot.
I dont mean for this to scare anyone more a comfort that we ave all been there .

I like to use the Pinnacle for bread making with a bread machine only and loprofin for anything else although we did try a mix of both for baking the other day that worked well
