Hi Nikita!! Welcome! My name is Fiona, and I have a 2 year old with PKU. Like you and probably all of us here), I had never heard of PKU until my daughter was 4 days old and her test came back positive!! (I also have a 4 year old non-PKUer) When Kaitlyn was starting on solids, I gave her a bit of puree carrot to start with, then I mixed it with puree zucchini and later (week or 2), I added sweet potato, or potato, but you would have to "count" the amount of potato you added. Basically, she lived on the carrot or the carrot/zucchini mix until her allowance went up - she started at 0.3g, then went up to 0.7g, then when we decreased "normal" formula, her allowance went up significantly. I hope that helps... there are alot of ppl here willing to help and to give you advice, and to give you tons of support :) don't be shy to ask for help!! :)
